This is my recent conversation with 2 of my close friends when we recently met in my house. I have a kid who is 2 years old. The 2 others are having less than 1 year old babies. Obviously, we were talking mostly about baby's growth and development. Even though I am younger to them, they made me to feel like an elder because of my baby's age and they were continuously throwing out questions regarding baby's development. They were actually watching me giving natural care to my kid starting from giving water to him from the copper vessel in which I kept the water to avoid constipation. I gave him Dabur gripe water. Then, I gave Dabur Lal Tail Massage to him before giving him bath. Meanwhile, I took a teaspoon of Dabur Chyawanprash and asked them to taste it. After giving bath to my kid, I gave him the nutritious pudding consisting of rice porridge, milk, raisins, cashews, cardamom seeds and butter.
Friend 1: Looks like you have so much knowledge about traditional way of developing child.
Me: I am just following what our ancestors documented about Ayurveda. My mom followed Ayurveda when I was a baby.
Friend 2: Hmmm.. Ayurveda? Is is so essential for baby's growth? We have medicines available to cure all diseases right.
Me: Do you really need to go for medicines when you have a way to preserve the health of the baby and prevent the baby from diseases? Prevention is better than cure. Hope you know that. You can just cut the cost of medicines and prevent the baby from suffering due to illness by following good Ayurvedic principles.
Friend 2: Explain me more on what is Ayurveda and how to use it for my baby's growth and development.
Friend 1: I am also interested to know more about it. It would be helpful for both of us if you could explain us in detail.
Me: 'Ayu' means life and 'Veda' means knowledge. It actually establishes balance and harmony through natural therapies, nutrition, herbal medicines. It helps to achieve harmony of body, mind and spirit.
Friend 2: Is there any proof saying that Ayurveda is a good one to follow?
Me: WHO recognizes it as complete natural healthcare system. Hope, this is enough.
Friend 1: Cool. What are the basics we should know about Ayurveda for our baby's growth and development?
Me: Ayurveda recommends us to observe systematized daily routine(dinacharya), life in accordance with seasons(ritucharya) and well planned diet and exercise schedules. So, I observe daily routine to ensure that my kid is growing well. You can see so many home remedies for various diseases and good ayurvedic tips to prevent babies from diseases in the website www.dabur.com.
Friend 1: Oh. Dabur is famous for ayurvedic products right.. I feel that I am giving too much chemical products after seeing your routine.
Me: Ya. We should avoid using chemical products for our babies as far as possible. There are lot of ayurvedic remedies available to ensure safe growth and development of babies. Stop using too much of chemically processed products. We do not what kind of side effects it will produce. We may not see the side effects immediately too. So, it is better to follow Ayurveda which has no side effects.
Friend 2: I also want to try Dabur Lal Tail. Now I am afraid of using chemical baby oils. I am feeling very bad of not giving proper care to my baby. I should follow natural ways. Thanks for explaining more about Ayurveda.
I was happy to see them start thinking about using products with lot of chemical ingredients. I am seeing lot of my other friends and relatives are no more going for chemical products blindly nowadays. Specially, me and my friends who are moms of little kids of almost same age are becoming picky buyers. I do a lot of research before buying any product for my kid. I feel so lucky when my friends call me to tell me if they find any problems with baby products. We are all well connected now even if we have missed communication after school and college. We all have the responsibility of being a good mom and we share whatever we know with each others. One common interest I found out is carefully choosing the right products for our babies. We assess each and every product starting from talcum powder to soap, we look for natural substitutes to protect our baby.
Chemical Products or Ayurveda?
Every mom has to think whether it is really required to use chemically processed/synthetic products for theri baby when there is good knowledge of Ayurveda available all over the world. 'Ayu' means life and 'Ved' means knowledge. So, Ayurveda refers to knowledge about life. Ayurveda is not something which is unreachable or expensive like chemically processed products. Also, it is hundred percent safe to use ayurvedic ingredients without side effects unlike chemically processed products. Ayurveda insists on lot of home remedies for various problems. There are lot of resources available to get the knowledge of Ayurveda. It is our responsibility to give right care to our baby's growth and development.
Sometimes there may be very good Ayurvedic remedies available for an issue. But we might not be able to get each and every ingredient altogether from our place. I personally like Dabur for making ayurvedic products accessible to the people in the market with lot of good ayurvedic ingredients which are not easily accessible.
By using ayurvedic products, we can stay peaceful and satisfied of using safe products for our babies. We can also ensure that they will not have any side effects in future because of using only ayurvedic products. If we use chemically processed products, we do not know what side effects they have and we need to stay restless.
Real Experience of using Dabur Lal Tail:
I am going to share you my personal experience of using Dabur Lal Tail here. My close friend stayed just next to our house before one year. Her baby had not started crawling even after 11 months. She was so much worried and depressed because of the delay in the baby's growth. Everyday she used to tell me that she was waiting to see her crawling. The baby neither started sitting nor crawling. As the days passed on, I too started feeling very sad for that baby. She went to her native for one month to stay in her mom's place. I used to frequently ask about that baby with her husband. I was also waiting to hear that she started crawling. One fine day, he told me that the baby started crawling :-) My friend also called me happily and shared the great news.
She returned back to home after one month. We were very happy to see both of our kids playing together. My son was running and the baby was crawling. They became more independent. Previously, my son used to get bored since that baby always used to lie down. Since she had started crawling, my son was also very happy to see that she was able to follow him wherever he was going.
As usual, I was at her home one day and we both were chatting about our babies. She started massaging her baby using Dabur Lal Tail. I asked her when she started using that. She told me that her sister in law gave Dabur Lal Tail to her. Her sister in law is also a mother of two children. She asked her to try Dabur Lal Tail for my friend's baby. The next question I asked her was whether there was any difference in her baby after using this product. She immediately told me that she started crawling only after she started massaging with Dabur Lal Tail. Wow. That was a great visible result. Immediately I got attracted to Dabur Lal Tail. I thought of sharing the information I know about Dabur Lal Tail with all of you since it might be helpful to you.
